This was listed as the Edgar R. Simpson residence in the 1941 phone book with phone number 324.This was listed as the R. N. Ashby residence in the 1958 phone book with phone number ORchard 3-3083. The Ashbys built and moved into the house right behind this one, at 65 North 400 East (currently the Lynne Clark home) where they were listed in the 1961 phone book.
This home was later converted for use as the Walters Real Estate office and then the Thora D. Wolfe Gift Shop. It is currently houses Patches of Iris & Violets Flower Shoppe.
