HISTORY

Zionville was originally a few motel units or cabins, a few RV camping spaces, and a very funky market and tourist stop. The cabins and RV spaces were just northeast of the store (just above the current Big Screen Theater Complex). It was owned and operated by Howard Firm.

Later owners included Bob Croft and then Rick & Linda Sentker. At some point after after firm's heirs sold it, the name of the market was changed to the Canyon Market.

The Zionville Motel was listed in the 1958 telephone book and in the 1961 telephone book. It was not listed in the 1941 telephone book or the 1972 telephone book.

The Springdale and Zion National Park fire departments burned down the market building as a training exercise in 1991.
