HISTORY

The Veprecula (or Little Bramble) was the first newspaper published in St. George. It was published semi-monthly from May 1864 to June 15, 1865.

The founders were Orson Pratt Jr., Charles L. Walker, George A. Burgon, and Joseph Orton. They each wrote an article for each issue.

At some point, Pratt was replaced by by Guglielmo Gustavo Rosetti Sangiovanni. And later, Walker and Burgon dropped out leaving only Orton and Sangiovanni.
